The Koger Center for the Arts in Columbia is the site of this concert led by the orchestra’s esteemed music director. They perform the entire atmospheric masterwork by Holst, and are joined for the ethereal finale by the USC Women’s chorus. To set the mood for the concert, the program begins with highlights from a sci-fi score by a beloved film composer, and also includes a French Impressionist composer’s take on the classic Viennese dance.
