Greensboro Symphony Orchestra: Musical Quest

A distinguished actor of stage, film and television joins the Greensboro Symphony for this program. Peter Coyote, a voice familiar from Ken Burn documentaries and Steven Spielberg’s classic film E. T., serves as narrator of a musical tribute to our twelfth president by Aaron Copland. He also reads from Ibsen’s epic verse drama to the strains of Grieg’s famous incidental music. The concert kicks off with Richard Strauss’ breakthrough tone poem.
