
The Greensboro (NC) Symphony Orchestra in performance at War Memorial Auditorium, September 25-26, 2009. Emanuel Ax is the soloist in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4, and Dmitri Sitkovetsky conducts, as part of a celebration of the Orchestra's 50th anniversary year. Also on that program: Mendelssohn's "Scottish" Symphony, and Schumann's Manfred Overture; and with conductor Bruce Kiesling, they play Ottorino Respighi's Fountains of Rome.
